Carnarvon Gorge National Park

Located just a stone’s throw from our accommodation in Roma, the Big Rig is a seven million dollar memorial to the birth of Australia’s oil and gas industry. Its fascinating self guided walk, The Oil Patch is embellished with interactive exhibitions and audio panels, while the night time show brings the story to life in dramatic fashion against the Roma night sky. 

Roma Heritage Trail

Journey back through time and discover Roma’s colourful history on the town’s Heritage Trail. Architectural highlights include the White Bull Tavern, St Pauls Anglican Church and the Schools of Arts building which served as a lookout during World War 2. 

Roma Saleyards

Experience the excitement and unforgettable atmosphere of the auction at the iconic Roma Saleyards. This is the biggest selling centre of its kind in the country, with hundreds of thousands of cattle bought and sold in its lively yards every year.
